Thursday's Top Ten - Installment 4

6/24/2010

I may not have done much blog posting this week, but I did a lot of blog reading, and here are my favs for the week...

  1. Stories of Summer: Capturing Summer with Photos from Ali Edwards
Kelly, thank you for the beautiful pictures and wonderful tips.
  2. Cheaper, Leaner, Better Ground Beef from Moms In Need of Mercy
I have yet to find a good butcher, but this makes me yearn for one! What great info about sale meat.
  3. Inspiration Wednesday + Video from Simply Me
Another creative nudge from Donna Downey!
  4. Easy, Frugal, & Delicious Granola from Moms In Need of Mercy
I think I'm going to make a bag of this for our trips in the car, although, I too, would like to get it to form bigger clusters.
  5. Weekly Gratitude - Putting My Album Together from Karenika
This project turned out so cute and I love the 4 x 6 album she used for it. Every time I saw one of the layouts, I thought it was for a 8½ x 11 page.
  6. June Projects - Portrait Workshop from Karenika
I love it, and may try to do one myself...
  7. Simple Party Decorating from How About Orange
As a girl who used to make paper flowers at King's Island (in Cincinnati), this idea is right up my ally. And this tutorial is basically how we made them, they were just attached to a long wooden dowel once we had opened up the flowers.
  8. 33 Shades of Green Home Tour from Remodelaholic
What a beautiful home, and thank you to Remodelaholic for turning me on to the 33 Shades of Green Blog!
  9. How Far Can You Throw a Phone Book? (And How To Stop Receiving Them) from SmallNotebook.org
I probably get 4 different versions of the yellow pages a year, so thanks to Rachel for this post.
  10. 5 Ways To Simplify Feeding Your Children from I'm an Organizing Junkie
Feeding my child is a constant stress. These five things helped me clarify my thinking about my child and food.

  1. I put some ground flax seed and about 1 T of whole wheat flour in my granola. That helps some pieces stick together.
